Organizing Hong Kong 18 Districts Youth Ice Hockey Tournament has been a long goal of the Hong Kong Academy of Ice Hockey (HKAIH). Through training and competitions, the aim is to provide more young people with opportunities to engage with ice hockey, train more athletes for Hong Kong, and simultaneously promote the local development of the sport.

The tournament has received full support from multiple District Offices and schools, with the hope that it can be expanded to an even broader level in the future.

In recent years, to overcome the limitations posed by insufficient training venues for ice hockey, HKAIH has focused on expanding its training network in the New Territories and islands. We constructed synthetic ice rinks for several primary schools, enabling institutions lacking ice sports facilities to have their own training venue.
