第三屆香港聖公會小學校際冰球挑戰賽圓滿舉行
基福重奪冠軍寶座 聖提摩太力戰居亞

由香港業餘冰球會、香港冰球訓練學校與香港聖公會小學輔導服務處合作舉辦的「第三屆香港聖會小學校際冰球挑戰賽」，於2013年7月4日(星期四)在西九龍中心飛龍冰上樂園溜冰場進行總決賽。

一直以大熱姿態打進總決賽的聖公會基福小學，最終以7:2賽果，力敵去年的亞軍聖公會聖提摩太小學，重奪失落一年的冠軍寶座; 聖公會聖提摩太小學各球員雖然未能沖擊冠軍寶座，屈居亞軍，但各隊員一直沉着應戰，在球場上互有合作，奮力應戰，實在勇氣可嘉。

聖公會聖提摩太小學守門員莫兆駿以及聖公會基福小學後衛周湛峰分別選為最佳球員，周湛峰更同時獲選為最有價值球員，期望球員可以再接再厲，再創佳績！

香港業餘冰球會兼香港冰球訓練學校主席胡文新先生於頒獎禮後表示，非常感謝聖公宗小學監理委員會(有限公司)、香港聖公會小學輔導服務處及各校長、老師、家長及所有同學的支持及作出的貢獻。

胡文新主席又表示:「隨着香港明年晉身國際冰球聯合會(IIHF)舉辦的世界冰球錦標賽，香港需要培訓更多本地年輕冰球員。在未來的日子，香港冰球訓練學校將會繼續肩負孕育本地年輕冰球員的使命，植根本土;香港業餘冰球會則會繼續舉辦更多符合國際水平的標準賽事，讓香港本土球員有更多參與世界性比賽的經驗。」

他期望，參與校際冰球挑戰賽的校隊將會繼續增加，讓更多學生親身接觸冰球運動，鍛鍊出強健的體魄及堅毅的意志，從中學習團隊及永不言棄的體育精神。

Kei Fook overtook St. Timothy to sweep the podium again

Co-organized by HKAHC, HKAIH and the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Primary School Counseling Service, the 3rd S.K.H Primary School Ice Hockey League came to a successful end on July 4, 2013 at Sky Rink, Dragon Centre.

The playoff champion of the league is S.K.H. Kei Fook Primary School winning by a score of 7-2 over last season’s silver medalist S.K.H. St. Timothy Primary School. Kei Fook performed well throughout the league and recaptured gold since they had won in 2011. The calmness and diligence of players from St. Timothy are also highly appreciated even when the team was the underdog.

The best player awards went to the goalie MOK Siu-chun from S.K.H. St. Timothy Primary School and defenseman CHOW Xxx-fung. Chow also won the title of MVP. We wish all players good luck and best performance in upcoming games.

Mr Thomas Wu, Chairman of Hong Kong Academy of Ice Hockey and Hong Kong Amateur Ice Hockey Club, thanked for the support and contribution from Anglican Church, the Hong Kong S.K.H. Primary School Counseling Services, all principals, teachers, parents and students.

 “As Hong Kong is qualified to compete for the IIHF World Championships next year, we should provide more training for local young players.” Thomas said that HKAIH will continue the mission of nurturing local ice hockey players and promote ice hockey to the local community, while HKAHC will organize more standard leagues to enrich local players’ competition experience.

Thomas hopes to see more school teams participating in the school league and more youth can enjoy playing ice hockey. Not only can they strengthen their minds and bodies, but also learn team spirit and sportmanship.
