Referee Clinic with Croatian Chief Referee a Success
The Hong Kong Academy of Ice Hockey had the privilege of hosting a very special guest between May 23 and June 2, 2008. The Chief Referee from Croatia, Zeljko Hrelja (known by friends as ˇ§Kekoˇ¨), was in Hong Kong to help Hong Kong Amateur Hockey Club and our referee-in-chief Matthew Cheung in conducting a week-long referee clinic comprising both classroom and on-ice sessions. The classroom environment was productive and very open while the on-ice clinic was equally worthwhile with referees and potential referees learning positioning and procedures. Overall, the clinic was a success. All attendees enjoyed very much the program and learned something from this unique experience. Thanks to all involved and to Keko for making time out of his busy schedule to help us.
